I had a fascinating dream last night. The world had experienced an apocalyptic event that made the air toxic after long periods of exposure. People did as people do and created little enclaves that, somehow, maintained clean air. Most of these enclaves were, ironically, the big cities: Tokyo, New York, London, etc. But there were also a few small villages that used the same technology. In the dream world, I was a sociologist, studying how society evolved under these conditions. I travelled to many little villages and towns and my observations were so interesting. I wish I could remember them all... In one village, a revolution was brewing amongst the 'undesirables' who were forced to gather the materials that kept the clean air circulating. These materials existed beyond the clean air perimeter, which led to most of this population dying preventable early deaths. I woke up just as the first skirmish began, but I've been thinking about this dream all day.
Not sure if this dream caused me to oversleep, but I woke up at the time I was supposed to leave. I threw my hair up in a headwrap and accidentally tied a semi-gelee (chic). I was late for work, of course, but overtime made the 10 minutes negligible.
Today was neither great nor terrible. I got about 4 tasks done, but one of them didn't make it out of the merge process. Oh well. Will fix that tomorrow.
Heading home now. Gonna heat up some soup and try to complete my kumon lesson. Very much looking forward to eating crunchy foods again.
